📖 CMSL — Creative Muslim School of Learning

“Where young hearts learn with faith, confidence, and purpose.”

CMSL (Creative Muslim School of Learning) is an independent educational initiative dedicated to nurturing faith, knowledge, and confidence in young Muslims aged 4–18.
While The HeArt Centre Dergah in Birmingham provides a peaceful and inspiring venue for our classes, CMSL operates as a separate school, focused on providing high-quality, balanced Islamic education for children and young people growing up in today’s diverse society.

🌿 Our Vision

CMSL aims to empower students with a strong Islamic foundation, deep understanding of their faith, and the confidence to live as positive contributors to their communities.
We believe Islamic learning should enlighten the mind, nurture the heart, and shape character — developing confident, compassionate, and capable Muslims ready to thrive in the modern world.

🕌 Our Venue

All CMSL classes are held at:
The HeArt Centre Dergah
73–75 Shaw Hill Road, Birmingham, B8 3LJ

This tranquil and welcoming environment enhances the learning experience, allowing students to study, reflect, and connect within a community atmosphere of respect, care, and faith.

Our Approach

Learning at CMSL is engaging, inclusive, and rooted in real-life relevance.
We use interactive teaching methods, discussion, memorisation, group activities, and creative expression to help students connect Islamic principles to everyday life.
Each lesson encourages critical thinking, empathy, and self-reflection — building a generation of young Muslims who are spiritually grounded, emotionally intelligent, and confident in their faith.

🕰️ Structure & Schedule

CMSL offers two progressive learning stages, ensuring steady development from foundational skills to deeper understanding.

🛡️ Safety & Inclusivity

CMSL maintains a safe, inclusive, and family-friendly environment.
All teachers and volunteers are DBS-checked, trained in safeguarding, and committed to creating a space where every child feels valued, supported, and inspired to learn.
